Hi. I was wondering if you or anyone knows of somebody looking for a part-time nanny position. We live in Cary; we have a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. The hours would be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thanks in advance for any help.
Care.com is the ticket for sure. We've hired many through there. They provide background checks and an easy way to keep track of all your candidates, responses, etc. Check the online coupon sites and you can always find a decent discount off the sign-up pricing, too.

One caveat I wanted to make sure to mention based on a new experience with this site. The other day we re-joined (probably our fourth time renewing our membership) for another 3 month deal and the day after, got an email (shown below). I wrote back to them asking if there was a mistake or if not, what the reason for this was, since no explanation was provided, and nobody has yet gotten back to me after two emails. This was last Friday and still no reply. I find it appalling that they would do this and not at least give a legitimate reason why. We had relied on them for help with childcare and they left us high and dry, so to speak. I can't let my recommendation on them stand without giving you all the facts.
Their out-of-the-blue email follows:

I have refunded you your $70 to credit card for your subscription. You will see this refund on your credit card within the next three to five business days.
