Hi

My DH has an interview on the 28th at BWI airport (of all places) where he will meet with a man from a company with multiple offices including one in Cary. My sister lives in Charlotte, so I'd not mind moving to NC. He might come down ahead of us by a year while our daughter finishes her senior year of HS up here in NOVA. Our son is already in the Navy and gets married in November. We are in our mid -to -late 40's so are not looking for a family type subdivision.

I'd like to live in the Chapel Hill area and wonder what his commute would be like from there to Cary.

Anyone have an answer for me?

It sort of depends on where on where in Chapel Hill you're starting and where in Cary you're ending. Probably in the range of 25 to 40 minutes, +/-. The answer at each end could vary commute times by 5-15 minutes.

CHTransplant is right in that it varies where you live. I commuted from Apex to Chapel Hill during the summer for classes using either 751 or Fearrington Point Road and it was about 30 minutes. 55 is also used a lot but there is some traffic. Cary spreads over a wide area, but there are several nice communities between Cary and Chapel Hill that allow for some compromise
