There's tons of empty buildings and houses in the area already. Do we really need more?
It seems harder to lease out the older strip malls. The newer ones go rather easily. They leased out the new mini strip by the Walmart easily. A better plan may be to completely renovate the older ones to bring them up to par. That would be a better use of space.

I can show you several "new" ones that have never been leased.

I can also show you several "old" ones that were new ones that have never been leased as well. Take a trip behind the Autozone/Biscuitville and have a look at those "medical" offices that have been empty for 4 years.

Retail and medical space are apples an oranges. The new retail leased out fast with no problem. The new medical space with this project may be a different story. However the location of the proposed plan may make it work better than the unleased space which is more hidden. Time will tell.

That new retail that leased out quick include the still empty 'retail' space between the KKD and the Hibachi Grill?

Yeah I know, the "Sprint" store has been "coming soon" since April.

Drove past it today. The Sprint has a sign that says "Now Open" and the Hibachi and Company has a sign that says "Now Hiring".

The Retail space is the middle which is the largest is the only one still for lease.

But speaking of Marquee Station, on Aug 16. They are allocating utilities for Lot #2.
