Our deck is about 15 years old and needs a overhaul. It is about roughly 350sq/ft but is also 12 ft elevated.

I'm trying to wrap my head around pricing too. We are considering TimberTech but I've seen quotes anywhere from $25/sqft to $60/sqft (21k for a deck?!)

We do not want enclosed, we just want a nice deck to grill on. Anybody have any good experiences with any local contractors and if you don't mind me asking a rough around on the charges.

Thanks

I think you'll find pressure treated wood decks at $15-20 sq ft, especially at that height.
Just me, but some, most, well all, PT wood is junk when used for decking/railing material. Except maybe the the KDAT (kiln dried after treatment) stuff .
We used Timbertech XLM decking for ours and its held up very well. It runs about $3.65 for a 6" wide linear foot for the decking ,,,, and that's w/o the hidden fasteners But it comes in 20' lengths and can be a very clean looking installation.

He built a new deck for my neighbor. He has done quite a bit of work for us and we've been happy. He has been reasonably priced for all the work he has done for us
