Hi All,
We are relocating to Raleigh in 6 weeks and I would really like to start reviewing preschools in the Wake Forest area. Can anyone make some recommendations on those they've heard good things about? I have a 3 year old little boy who is going to be coming from daycare. Ideally it would be a situation where it is a smaller setting (not prek-12) as it may really rattle him.

Can anyone help me out there? I feel like I'm drowning in my google search.

When I give tours of Wake Forest and Heritage areas, I've seen a preschool, it might be Primrose? You could do a web search or call the developers of Heritage ask their agent.

Hope Lutheran has a great reputation. But we prepared to work for a spot. People usually camp out the night before registration to get a spot. Primrose also has a very good reputation. The owners are a husband and wife who have twin girls who are just starting 2nd grade I believe. Very nice people. Heritage Academy is also popular.

This is extremely helpful - thank you so much!

Are there any organizations or websites to help link up with in-home daycare facilities?

There are a handful of pre schools (like hope lutheran) that are exclusively half day, then there are day care centers (which some people call pre school) that are typically all day long, during the working hours.

You can find a wealth of information at the carolina parent magazine website, in their directory section. There are a number of day cares in wake forest, off of the top of my head, goddard school, kids r kids, heritage children, and wake forest montessori to name a few.
