Your post is probably "expired" by now, but Cary is not known as a place for people ("smoking hot", or not) to go out on the town. Head for downtown Raleigh or Glenwood South.

p.s. we're a 40's couple looking for some 70's & 80's music...went to Tony's, in a word BORING!

really?...there's nothing else in Cary/Apex...i'd rather not have to drive to far from home

You need to head downtown for the dancing. If you were looking for Salsa dancing I would recommend Carmen's Cuban Cafe in Morrisville, but that is a younger crowd and you aren't going to be hearing 70's and 80's tunes there.

I you were in N. Raleigh the Beach Music Series at North Hills might be something to check out. There really just isn't much demand for dancing spots in the suburbs like Cary and Apex.
