Hi all,

Our Time Warner Cable has been out since Monday night, is anyone else having the same problem? Internet and phone are fine, but the cable box is stuck on "alt". I've called TWC twice and they've said that they are working in the area and it's disrupting the signal, and as of yesterday afternoon the work was 94% finished, so by now you'd thing things would be back to normal.

I keep trying to reboot but it gets hung up on "alt" every time. I'm wondering if the problem is with my box, because I haven't heard of anyone else with an outage.

At least they gave me a $10 bill reduction for my trouble, ha!

Cable is fine but cable box is hung up?
Did you mean to say internet is fine?

The next neighborhood over from me was down for a few hours yesterday. No problems here, at least that I am aware of.

I would probably swap the box out for one of the new ones. If you have time to spend in the TWC store.
They are really busy now with all the adapters they are distributing and other usual business.

The new boxes are much improved over the old ones. Of course, you will lose anything you have recorded.

I've had to unplug my modem/router three or four times a day for the last few weeks....I finally called and was told they'd send a tech. Before the tech got here, they called back and said second-level support identified a signaling issue and re-sent the signal. Worked great for about 4 hours....and now, I again have a ticket open with them. Not sure if it's related to your issue....good luck!

I've seen momentary drops in TWC internet. Not enough to reset the router but enough to drop my VPN connection several times a day over the past 3 or so days.
