My husband and I are going to the Journey/Foreigner/Night Ranger concert tomorrow night at Time Warner Music Pavilion. We are still new to the area and would like to eat out before the show. Can anyone give me some ideas as to what restaurants are in that area?

It isn't really in the best area for dining. I'd either tailgate in the parking lot, eat inside (over priced food though it is, they usually have some decent options), or eat downtown and then drive over (it isn't very far).

If it were me I would definitely not eat before the show. My stomach would start rumbling at Sister Christian, Urgent would increase the queasiness, and by the time Steve Perry started crooning about Lovin, Touchin, and Squeezing I would be lurching, trembling and spewing.

You can leave the Pepto at home - Steve Perry left Journey over a decade ago! The current lead singer does sound a lot like him, though.

Seriously, there's virtually nothing to eat out that way. Eat downtown and then go to the show, like Dire Wolf suggested.

In true southern concert going tradition I suggest picking up a bucket of chicken from Bojangles and a 6 pack or box of your favorite wine and enjoy the drunken baffoons in the parking lot. Pre show entertainment is a GUARENTEE!

As I discovered before my first show there earlier this summer, there is nothing in the vicinity to eat. We couldn't even find fast food. We ended up having to pay $$$$$ to eat inside.

I have since been to 3 more shows. we pack a cooler up with some food and drinks, pop a couple chairs in the trunk, and head over early to tailgate for an hour or two.

If you want a restaurant, then yeah, probably eat downtown first.
