I just scanned the list in the magazine, but didn't see a single NC town in Money's Top 100. This list is for places with 50k or less population, but given the magazine's fawning over Raleigh for a few years, I thought a suburb such as Apex, Garner, etc would have made the list.

The listed towns seem to generally be small, stand-alone towns rather than towns that are suburbs of a larger area.

Maybe they needed a new demographic to sell magazines to?

Good, they can move somewhere else and leave 'God's Country' to those of us who got here first! ;-)

That's because the list is not really the best "places" to live. It clearly states in smaller print to the right that it's the best "small towns" to live.

I live in NJ and no way are S. Brunswick and Montville anything special. They are exactly the same as the surrounding towns.

I'll take your word for it. I don't know the towns at all. I was just clarifying what the list really is.
