Several weeks ago I noticed that the speed limit signs changed on 54 on either side of the Morrisville Carpenter / Aviation intersection from 35 to 45.

My wife calls me today and informs me that the speed limit signs have been changed again from 45 back down to 35.

Anyone have any idea as to why the change?

I can ask at next month's public safety meeting, but you can also check the minutes online to see if it's been brought up in the recent past. That's a state road, so the NCDOT is in charge--you can look online there, too.

Any idea where you find that info at the DOT's website?

You can try here: NCDOT, Planning & Environment, Transportation Planning Branch. There's a search tool or you can contact them here and ask
