I know, it sounds a little crazy, but there are these inflatable star labs that can be taken to schools...the kids crawl inside and get a neat mini-planetarium show.
Does anyone know if there is one in Wake county available for school visits? I tried googling without success.
We had it last year at our school in Johnston County. Try calling/emailing Johnston County Schools to get a phone # for the company.
To get it for your school you have to have at least 2 teachers willing to go to a "training" on how to inflate it/use it..and then you train the other teachers who want to utilize it(its easy..not rocket science..LOL)
My first graders LOVED IT since we were studying moon phases at that time.
