I know, it sounds a little crazy, but there are these inflatable star labs that can be taken to schools...the kids crawl inside and get a neat mini-planetarium show.

Does anyone know if there is one in Wake county available for school visits? I tried googling without success.

No, but let me know if you find one. Sounds like a great date idea for the wife.

I know that Morehead Planetarium has one or at least they used to. Try giving them a call and see what they charge to come out to a school.

We had it last year at our school in Johnston County. Try calling/emailing Johnston County Schools to get a phone # for the company.
To get it for your school you have to have at least 2 teachers willing to go to a "training" on how to inflate it/use it..and then you train the other teachers who want to utilize it(its easy..not rocket science..LOL)

My first graders LOVED IT since we were studying moon phases at that time.
