We've enjoyed the information about resaurants that posters would not return to, but can we start a thread listing good restaurants and eating places that you've enjoyed and would return to, and those that you frequent regularly. Perhaps you could include the type of food, price range of the food and the general area of location.

Sawasdee (Thai) on Capital Blvd. Tiny place, awesome food, always excellent service. We've been eating there for more than five years (since I moved here) and have never had a bad meal.

Orient Garden (chinese food) near Southpoint Mall, Elmo's Diner (heavenly american diner food) on 9th street, Lime and Basil (Thai/Pho) on Franklin Street, Cosmic Cantina (Latin) on 9th street, Foster's Market (american), and Toreros (Mexican). I also love the deli counter at Whole Foods. Most of these restaurants are fairly inexpensive.

I would love to know of some good chinese food places in N. Durham....I get lazy about driving to Southwest Durham for Orient Garden.

Most of mine are going to be in Durham...

Bombay Grille (Indian) - Durham (my favorite)
Spice and Curry (Indian) - Durham - good when food is fresh
Sitar (Indian) - Durham - Good but more pricy than the other too
Eastern Lights (Chinese) - Durham - reasonably authentic
I did like TQ Zheng's in Briar Creek, but the landlord locked the doors on them. If it reopens it should still be good.
NeoChina - Durham - Chinese, but it's not my favorite because it has zucchini in it.

Randy's pizza - various locations - veryveryvery close to true NY pizza

Red Palace - Raleigh - decent Chinese, not the best
Havana Grill - Cary - decent Cuban
