Drees Homes in Brightleaf? (Durham: house, school district, clubhouse)

I've read nothing but good things about Drees on these threads and through my searches on google... that makes me very hopeful

I was wondering if anyone else is looking and/or living at Brightleaf and has any pros or cons about the area? I've read comments about that specific area in Durham... mixed reviews. Many opinions pointed to the area being iffy, but also having a lot of potential.

We're coming out for our 2nd visit in 2 months and are very excited... any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Personally I loved the area. There were a ton of benefits I saw...
Them saving as many trees as possible
The walking and biking trails
The gym and clubhouse will be sweet
The location to 85 and the Durham Freeway

The one big negative is the schools. Although they do help out there by building there own elementary school. I am no quite sure what their High School district is, but you may have to plan for private.

I did see a sweet house on the lake that they were trying to get rid of... Unfinished basement and attic. I would check that one out!
