I've read quite a bit about other S/D's, but little about Timberlake. Is anyone living there? Purchasing there? Can anyone give me some feedback, postive and negative about this S/D? Price is right, schools are good, just don't have much else to go by. What I would like to know is where in Clayton it is located in relation to other S/D's, schools, stores, etc. Thank you! Jeannie

I have never even heard of it. Any clue about where it is located in Clayton? I could scope it out for you and take some pics if its not too far.

I'll see what I can find out, thank you Heather. The only thing I know now is the elementary and middle are Riverwood, and the high school is Clayton....

This development is off Loop Road right near Riverwood Golf course (and where the infamous Stump Dump Fire was). I have driven by the development but never went into it. It is about 5 minutes from the other Riverwood where the schools are and the pool and athletic center are.

Thank you Jamie. What is the Stump Dump Fire? Although you only drove by, what is your take on this S/D, surrounding area, etc. Jeannie

Well, Loop Road has farms and some trailer type homes then there is Riverwood Golf Club development. Timberlake looked to go well into the subdivision and off the main road. The Stump Dump is a place on Loop Road where developers take the huge tree stumps for disposal. Somehow, the stumps underground ignited and burned/smouldered for weeks back in February. It was a big deal because the neighborhoods had to deal with the smoke and smell for weeks. The area itself is pretty rural meaning there is no stores right there. To get over to 70 for shopping would be about 10 mihnutes or so. Close to Smithfield Road which takes you over by the new section of 540.

jeannie, Is that the neighborhood that James Gilbert is the builder? If so, I sold a house in there. Mr. Gilbert is a custom builder and will do whatever it takes to keep the buyer happy! And my buyer was a bit picky too! Vicki
