Anyone have good recommendations for a place that can host an indoor wedding? Looking for specifically the ceremony, as we already have some ideas for the reception itself.

Any specific city?

Do you count Unitarians as "non-denominational"? Both the UUFR of Raleigh and ERUUF (Eno River UU Fellowship) in Durham have really pretty, modern "sanctuaries" (especially ERUUF).

Hill House in Durham is a lovely old mansion that gets rented out for various things. Probably not cheap, but really nice and like stepping back into a Victorian-era home.

How many people? I got married at the Borden building in downtown Raleigh. We had the actual ceremony on the porch (it was supposed to be outside but of course it POURED rain that day). We managed to get 80 people on that porch and then had the reception inside.
You could probably get away with having the ceremony inside if the guest list is small, but like all of those houses, the building is large but the layout is "boxy" and individual rooms are not huge.

You can do your ceremony and reception at Cafe Luna downtown.

we are looking at around 150 people, and preferably in raleigh, but definitely open to anywhere within 20 mi of downtown. we would be open to a place that has outdoor and indoor, just concerned with planning for an outdoor wedding and dealing with weather.

There is the Grand Marquise Ballroom in Garner. It's right down 70:

Welcome to the Grand Marquise Ballroom - Grand Marquise Ballroom

I don't know if you can just have the ceremony there or not.

Also in Garner is the Rand-Bryan House, but I'm not sure you can fit 150 inside there:

What about the Museum of History???

My wife and I were married at the Longview Center in Moore Square. It wasn't a functioning church at the time, but they did over 50 weddings a year there. I believe it's now a non-denominational church again. Looks like they will allow you to use it for weddings:

Welcome to Unity Church of the Triangle

Beautiful place. We had our rehearsal dinner at Cafe Luna (big thumbs up, they did a great job).

Best of luck to you!

There is also 111 Place in Cary: One Eleven Place - The Place for Business and Social Events

I had my wedding reception there. Plenty of space for ceremony and reception.
