.. Btw, acrylic damages the nail bed mainly because it's not exposed to air--or it can't "breath". This is why a proper nail salon would advise you to take a break from acrylic on your nails every once in a while... Grew up in the "industry", so I saw first-hand what it does to peoples' nails.. I would never let me wife put anything other than polish on her nails. My .02
