Hi guys,

We're looking for a landscaper with drainage experience to work out the water flow issues in our back yard (RDU Airport area). The back yard is small and is positioned just perfectly to capture almost all the rainwater from the cul-de-sac behind us. When the house was built there was some french drain installed in an attempt to accommodate it, but it's just not doing the job. I'm looking for someone w/ small-scale hydrology experience who has some new landscape ideas that will alleviate all of the flooding and the muddy, grassless mess that we have now.

Any recommendations on who to call, please? Thanks in advance!

Because of the peculiar NC laws in this area...
you'll need two separate entities to do this for you.

One to do the design aspects and one to do the work itself.

For the design aspect I'll recommend Earth Graphics.
For the work... wait until you see what they come up with

We used Garden Environments in Durham. When it rained hard, he had a heavy amount of water running across our property like a river. Our whole yard looked like a big, clay mud pit. They put in a river bed (which is dry when not raining), a small pond to catch the water, with a beautiful waterfall. All of that was surprisingly well-priced. I feel like I'm on vacation when I'm home. (His company did all of the designing and the hardscaping, too.)
