Was there a few weeks ago and I am surprised they have anything left to sell. It was pretty cleaned out when I was there. Plus the original prices were so high the sales prices were nothing spectacular.

I don't think they'd be motivated to do big markdowns...not too much trouble to pack it up and send it to another store. That's what I've observed when a chain closes one location.

I went about 3 weeks ago and got all my Christmas shopping done for my kids. I'm guessing by now it's pretty picked over. I wish the store wasn't closing - they always had a good selection of toys at pretty decent prices.

I think the store was bought out by liquidators who would not mind keeping the store for longer periods if sales're good.

Personally, I do not like THAT KMart since the employees have no motivation, I guess, due to how bad the store was doing. Always, the employees were rude or less than helpful. You always listen to overhead speaker system about someone asking someone to monitor some isle (it is so laughable there would not even be 10 people in the store)

I agree that prices at KMart are so inflated you won't feel like getting a good deal even at 30-40% off

I went in last night to have a look around. I was surprised at how much was actually left. Most items are only discounted 25% - 30%, but there are exceptions. Greeting cards and cosmetics were 50% off. I did not have time to look at clothes and shoes, so I don't know the markdown on those items, but there still appeared to be a lot left.

I was in about a week ago and had the same experience. I wondered if they were bringing things in to liquidate from other stores. Lots of stuff and prices were not that great. I checked out a some insoles I had purchased recently. Even marked down, I had paid less at Target
