We are moving to the Garner area in a few weeks and am looking for a good pre-school for my 4 year old. I would like for him to go to a school where he will learn instead of going to more of a daycare type setting. Any suggestions?

If you don't mind a bit of religion - First Baptist Of Garner is a great preschool. My son went there when he was 4 (we are Jewish!) and he loved it. He was really well prepared for Kindergarten and it was very reasonably priced. I think the hours are 9-1:15 and you pack a lunch for them.

Clayton's not too far from Garner. My son went to Horne UMC preschool-- we loved it! They have a lot of fun, but learn a lot too. He was really prepared when he started K. PM me if you have any questions.

Garner United Methodist is great. Both of my sons went there and were fully prepared for Kindergarten. They learned great social graces plus their ABC's and 123's. GUMP also helped me recognize that my oldest son had speech and sensory issues, and helped me get help. I just can't say enough great things about them. We're looking into their Track Out Program for next year.
