New Jersey-based communications company Avaya plans to add about 135 jobs during the next four years at its office in Research Triangle Park, increasing employment there to about 325. The average annual salary for the jobs will be $87,704 a year, well above the Durham County average of $61,256.

Avaya just has the old Nortel operations in the RTP ?

Avaya was only 1 small piece of the Nortel operations

I was asking is Avaya in RTP just the Nortel operations they purchased. Or if they had existing offices here before Nortel went belly up.

Avaya might have had a small office in the Triangle prior to acquiring Nortel's enterprise business, but it's fair to say that 98% of Avaya employees in the Triangle today are ex-Nortel. The Avaya corporate HQ is in NJ.
