I am a single senior and will be moving to the Clayton area to be close to my daughter. Any opinions as to where a single senior would fit in. I don't want a senior community since I am a young 65 and love to mingle with younger people. I also love water be it a lake or an ocean.
Anywhere within a 1 hour radius would be fine. I would like some action but also some quiet.
Any opinions?
Thanks.
Let me welcome you soon to the triangle area. If a beach area is what your looking for, you will need to move further east. The Clayton area is about an hour and a half or more to the coast, depending on where you would be going. I have had clients look for homes in Clayton, and have seen some very nice homes in some very nice communities. You also get more home for your money out there. I will pm you a website that maybe helpful to you. Best of luck to you in your searches.'
Hi Ms. Rose, For a minute I thought I was reading about myself. I too am a senior, not quite in my sixties yet. I moved to Clayton last November to be near my daughter. Sold my condo just out of Atlanta and signed a 1 yr lease to see if this is where I really wanted to be. It took about 3 months to find a job and since then I have had so many health issues that I am about to go broke. Hope you have better luck than I did.
