Crevices in the furniture are best places for Bed Bugs. They thrive there since they can live months without having food (I mean blood)

LOL, I think you need a lesson on how some 'bugs' operate. Bedbugs require blood to eat so they like to stay near a source of it. Roaches on the other hand don't require soft and warm. We had an infestation at a former residence and let me tell you, they were breeding in our kitchen table and chairs. If you knocked a chair over, you'd see some scurrying away after it hit the floor. They also infested a bookshelf in the living room. My multifunction printer was also infested.

They can thrive in almost any internal household item.

I meant more in terms of bed bugs. Furniture that isn't upholstered is typically easier to disinfect and less likely to harbor critters that you can't readily see. Of course you should always inspect anything you're buying used for signs of infestation. Buddy of mine once bought a used car that later turned out to be infested with ants
