Trying to constantly convince people from all other parts of the country and world to not move here so we can keep all the jobs, great amenities, and nice weather for ourselves! Haha.
People who post questions on city-data asking questions about the area and then never come back to provide additional context or react to any of the responses. Responding to these "one way" posts is unsatisfying and makes you feel like you are yelling into a dark empty cave. *looks at* joeanmich
At least it helped me figure out the good and bad of Raleigh. I see no problem with it.
Just how much heat and humidity are we talking about? About when does the miserable heat start and when does it end?
Anywhere from July 4-Labor Day is fair game for the "Southeastern heat/humidity" which can mean many days above 90 in a row with very high humidity. Mid-July to mid-August is probably the worst. You can look up Raleigh on a climate website to find specifics (exact humidity, etc).
Alright, it's not that anyone hates trees, it's just that urban environments are more suitable to certain people. I don't know how else to explain it.
But there's plenty of urban environments with trees. Urban doesn't automatically mean nature wasteland. Unless of course we're talking about a Stephen King novel.
It feels like you're in a sauna with no relief in sight. It lasts from about April to October with the worst of it being July to September.
I'm only asking, it's not as hot & humid as SC, GA, AL, FL though is it? I live near Chicago now and I lived in central FL for 3 years - I was hoping the Triangle summers would be somewhere in between the two...gotta get away from Chicago winters, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
