I need an ear, nose, throat specialist and don't know anyone who has used one. I far prefer technical competence over personality, especially since this may involve surgery on my nose.

I reviewed prior posts about ENTs, and the only ones mentioned were the Mann practice in Cary, and one in Chapel Hill (Dr. Yu).

Does anyone have recommendations for a really good ENT? Thanks in advance.

Capital ENT in Raleigh near Rex, but it can take a long time to get an appointment.

Is there any particular doctor there you have experience with? Thanks.

Dr. Clarkson at Raleigh ENT - they have offices in several different locations in Raleigh and one in Cary.

Dr. Whitsell at Duke did some surgery for me, but I prefer something closer for my 'regular' needs (and I just mesh a bit better with Dr. Clarkson). Good luck!!

I have been to Raleigh ENT multiple times and have always been very impressed with them. I've dealt with Dr. Boyce and Dr. Brown... both were good but preferred Dr. Boyce.

Duke University. Why go anywhere else if you need an expert.

raleigh ent, we have gone to their office inside the belt line (on six forks) and the brier creek office (which is new) - I have had a good experience. My daughter saw Dr. Boyce, and when I needed to go he was not in the office and I saw Dr. Gerber. Both were very good, but I would probably chose Dr. Boyce over Gerber, as Boyce was more "seasoned" and had come with recommendations from other MD's I knew.

Dr. Medders at Capital ENT recently performed surgery on my wife and so far so good. She preferred him to Duke.

She has also never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes unlike most offices.

Medders, but I've also seen Wilkins, Price, and Dennis.
