Hi, I'm relatively new to NC and was curious if anyone has a place they go to buy Brushetta. I bought the Harris Teeter brand and am less than impressed. Some stores usually have it in the produce dept or by the fresh prepared food, but I have not see it in any of the grocery stores, at least by me in Morrisville.
Brushetta is so ridiculously easy to make from scratch. It's essentially just chopped tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. I add onions to mine. If you're truly at a loss on how to make it, here's some recipes: bruschetta Recipes at Epicurious.com
I agree - it's so easy to make from scratch, and tastes better, too.
One thing to keep in mind is that good tomatoes are just about impossible to come by this time of year, so the odds of finding good bruschetta before summer are pretty low.
Capri Flavors in Morrisville, NC. They may sell it pre-made, but for sure they have the ingredients that will make it better than anything else you can likely buy pre-made. It's all imported from Italy and Titina and family really know their stuff....
im sorry dont know the area but it sounds so good i got hungry. u got rep.
