On of the ideas behind State operated ABC's is that the State and the employees are going to strictly card people and not let kids get by with a fake id, etc. A privately owned store has a profit motive that rewards every sale, legal or not.

i dont mind the prices down here. my lord calvert a 5th is like 9.15. and my pint of jim beam is like 10.00. i wounder what liqour prices in kansas or texas would be.

Just a tad more than a private store.It's the twisted state run thing that I dislike.Feels like Russia circa 1985.The only thing they need to do now is control the tobacco.
