We are still hearing rumors about a possible McDonalds and now possibly BaskinRobbins/Dunkin Donuts going in... I have not heard about YoLo and Amante. Are there signs up in window fronts for these two?

The plans for the McDonald's can be found on the Town of Cary website, so I would say its just a matter of time before we see them break ground.

I have also heard, from a reliable source about both Amante & YoLo Frozen Yogurt. I would LOVE to see a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins, as I was disappointed when I heard Frozen Yogurt....now us Ice Cream lovers will be happy too!!! Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Something has gone wrong with Amante in the last few years. I used to love them, but I have been very disappointed as of late. I hope they get back on track.

They used to be awesome. I think I've convinced my wife to give it 6 different tries. Of course we'll go to this location, but I hope it is an improvement from the location on 54 in Chapel Hill and 54 in Morrisville.

Regarding thefuture McDonald's @ Cary Park:

Town Council will be discussing the following related to this project at tonight's meeting:

B. Consent Agenda

2. Planning and Development Committee, May 19, 2011 (any committee consent agenda item pulled for discussion will be discussed at the end of the committee discussion portion of the agenda, which is item F on this agenda) (Mrs. Adcock)

a. McDonalds at Cary Park (10-SP-022) – Request for Waiver from Required Reclaimed Waterline Improvement (EN11-080)
Committee unanimously recommended denying a request for waiver of the reclaimed waterline improvements required for site plan approval of McDonalds at Cary Park (10-SP-022) and instead require payment of a fee-in-lieu in accordance with LDO Section 8.1.5, to cover the cost of construction of the line, with payment of a fee-in-lieu to be appropriated to SW1138 and budgeted within the construction account for expenditure purposes. Committee further recommended requiring the applicant to dedicate a utility easement sufficient to install the proposed infrastructure to fall entirely within the current Town of
Cary greenway easement across the property frontage along Green Level Church Road.

Just heard that they will be putting a Cary police substation at the Cary Park Town Center (not to be confused with the Cary town center or Cary mall etc.). Should be opening in the Fall. I've also heard about the McDonald's but haven't seen any activity about that. I'm thrilled they have the YoLo and the Trillium Montessori school there. I like how the place is filling out.

I hear that a mexican restaurant may be coming in the space that Carini's once occupied.
