Here's a good reason to cross HOA neighborhoods off your list. This one concerns Margot's Pond S/D. How can this garbage be allowed to go on?

It’s ONE HOA in ONE Wake Forest subdivision. Let’s keep the issue in perspective a bit.

It’s not the entire area of Wake Forest.

I think most HOA's are crap and they usually do not act with common sense.

They are simply developer tools and invite the participation of micromanaging busybodies.

How such stupidity began is a real shame.

What most people don't know is that is if most or all of the homeowners in a Development abandon any rule of the Association "Such as watering the grass, decorative flags so on and so forth" That that particular law becomes invalid and void. So if everyone only waters when the County/City says and abandon the Home owners laws no one person stands out and the Association can do very little about it. I learned that in RE School.

I'd rather have bathing and drinking water vs a well kept lawn anyday, not to mention it's almost fall any way (Even though it's hot as of now) and before you know it the grass would have be brown anyway.

Hey, so does that mean if the grass is brown at every house except the guy who still waters at 2 in the afternoon then we have a case to say he's breaking the rules by having green grass? He's standing out with his green grass and I don't like!! Totally meant as a joke... just in case it did not come through that way.

Do THEY have a green lawn?

To anyone who doesn't like the way the HOA Boards run the operation - get on the Board and get involved.

PDX mom - I loved your post.

In a drought as serious as this is, anyone with a greel lawn should be fined.
