Jeannie, I sure hope you don't have the same problem we've had in finding a home church. It's been 2 years for us. I've come to the realization that we're NOT going to find a church like what we had up north. I've just decided to go to a church where our daughter is content with (she's 19). If she's happy and being fed spiritually, I'll just shut up and go. I don't mean to sound discouraged but I guess I still get a little "home sick" for what we had. I do love it down here, but this has been extremely difficult for us. God is in control and he will see us (and you) through this!
Our church up North gave us a website to go on to find churches in our area that have similar teachings as they do. The closest ones are in Raleigh and we tried one in Fuquay Varina 2 weeks ago and it took us close to an hour to get there. I'm hoping to find something local so we can be involved with others in our area. It is beautiful down here. Good luck with your search.
jeannie, have you tried Calvary Chapel? there's a Calvary Chapel in Clayton. If you like verse by verse teaching, I think you will like Calvary Chapel.
I just finished listening to one of the sermons from Crosspointe Church in Cary on available on their web page. Actually I've listened to a number of their sermons for their web page. The teachings are EXCELLENT. I had a chance to map where the church is located in relation to where I live. During my day off on Friday, I did a dry run to the church to see how long it would actually take for me to get there. I live in North Raleigh (off of Capital Blvd). It takes almost a half hour getting there from my house. I wish I knew a quicker way of getting to Crosspointe. I love going to a church where there is great teaching. And like most others on this thread, I'm searching as well.

I just mapquested Crosspointe from where I am and its almost 50 minutes driving. Too far.
Oh yeah.. that's VERY far from you.
Tluehrs, I've never been to Harvest Church, but I've visited their website and had the opportunity to hear one of the sermons. It seems to be a very charismatic church. They have a nice website.
I thought someone mentioned Sovereign Grace church but I can't find the blog. Has anyone visited there before and what did you think about it?
