We just went the other night and must say - WOW. Food was really good, and the decor was AWESOME. Hand painted ceilings, original wood beams, exposed brick...the pool area and outside bar are awesome. Really unique atmosphere.

Was really surprised to see this in downtown Raleigh, its much needed. Kind of hidden though. Anyone else been there?

Yeah, I've been there twice. The first time it was shortly after it opened and the food was mediocre, but that can happen with any new restaurant. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and a group of us go in and experience food that was edible but not worth the money, service that was lacking with the bartender loosing our checks and dropping our credit cards in the garbage, and a bar table when we reserved a table for 12. The atmosphere is nice, but everything else there is lacking. Oh yeah, on a side note, they need to paint lines in their parking lot.

We went last Friday night. Appetizers were good but nothing out of this world. I had a lamb shank that was a special and it was really, really good.

I've been but never had the food, just went for drinks. The drinks were good, if not slightly pricey and I will 2nd what others have said that the atmosphere and decor are great. I'm actually looking forward to going back this spring or summer when it's nice enough to sit out at their patio area since last time we went back in October it was way to cold to really enjoy it.

Babylon is awesome. I really wanted to go last night to enjoy their outdoor area but my husband refused because apparently downtown was on lockdown yesterday afternoon prepping for Michelle Obama's visit and he didn't want to deal with going back down there after work.

Went here recently. Food isn't too bad. I expected a tad more nuance in the flavors. Atmosphere is great, however. There were two DJ's in separate sections ... And an impromptu dance party broke out, too.

Nah... Not everyone wants a meal served with so much bustling action and noise.

I tend to prefer quieter restaurants, myself. Always have. Even when I was a regular club-goer.

I haven't been to Babylon but I like Mosaic Wine Lounge which is another great place nearby (I think they're owned by the same owner)
