In addition to the farmers market downtown, another farmers market opens this coming Saturday, 4/28. It's at the corner of Hwy. 55 and Sedwick in Greenwood Commons, which is where Papa Mojo's is. Looks like a great group of vendors!!

YEAH!!! Hula, thanks for posting this! So excited. We have often found our Saturday's very busy and we don't frequently have time to drive all the way downtown for the Farmers' Market. So I'm THRILLED we're getting one just minutes from my house! Yippee!! Looks like a great list of vendors too!!!

And it's location is convenient for some West Cary residents too.

We actually have been going to the Western Wake Farmers Market Western Wake Farmers at Morrisville Carpenter Road near Davis cos it's closer (and a very nice market) rather than downtown Durham, but will probably now go to the Southern Durham since it's right up the street for us.

Attachment 94578The South Durham Farmers' Market is a hit! The market was crowded, has a wonderful selection of goods from meat to veggies, flowers and baked goods, eggs and canned veggies, cheese, soap and much, much more. Super nice vendors too!! Check it out soon!

It was WONDERFUL! We bought some organic strawberries, bag of greens, sausage links, lavender soap, and pickled carrots from the 2 Chicks Farm. Those pickled carrots are great! I'm now inspired to learn to pickle stuff this summer.

You got a great haul!! We got a scone & coffee, tomatoes, lettuce, bread & butter pickles from the 2 Chicks, very delicious eggs, and some radishes! I read that they sold out by 10:30 since they didn't know how big the turnout would be, which it was!! They promised to bring more next week & I suggested they bring even more than that since the Parkwood flea market is next Saturday too so they were glad to know to be prepared even more so! I think it's a hit!
