We have power in Raleigh. No power outage at all. The storms hit on either side, but we only heard distant rumblings.

Mother Earth loves us best.

We didn't lose power either. The lights did flicker a little though.

We didn't lose power but do frequently...the joy of overheard lines. After our first year in this house, we quickly learned to stay prepared.

I'm prepared for power outages. It's the damn internet and cable outages that I struggle with. After a few minutes it gets awkward. My wife expects me to talk to her.

In a word- Hurricane lamps. Two of them on the mantle. 24/7. They have saved use numerous times.

I hope you weren't partying with my neighbors who had loud music blaring until 1:30 a.m.!
