I recommend the strawberry patch at Gross Farms 3miles south of Sanford on highway 87.

Used to take our kids to Lyons Farms to pick strawberries when they were younger. Now, I just look for their stands and buy them after THEY pick them!

They should weigh the kids before they pick and then afterwards! That way, they'd make some money on the strawberries that the kids eat! Mine always ate more than they picked!

Will the Produce Box deliver to Atlanta? One of the big reasons I miss NC. If anyone is coming this way, I will be glad to take a few quarts off your hands for a good price!

How long does strawberry season last in NC? We won't be there until end of June, wondering if strawberries will still be in season

By the time it ships to you, you've negated the reason to use Produce Box.....

If somehow we magically have a mild start to the summer, *maybe* you can find some strawberries by end of June. But more likely by that time strawberries will be out and blueberries will be on their way in.

That is funny. It in seriousness, it is short (like maybe a few weeks) and depends on the weather. Last year I remember receiving more rain around strawberry time, so they rotted quicker. I have enjoyed picking at Lyons Farm in prior years.

This link lists a lot of pick your own farms in NC, but I would call anywhere before driving out there.

Where in North Carolina to find pick your own farms and orchards for fruit, vegetables, pumpkins and canning & freezing instructions!
