Hello all, I have following many threads for several months now and have to say thanks to everyone for the great info!

My family and I are moving to the Raleigh area in May from Colorado. We have two boys: 9 and 12. My oldest is really worried about making new friends. Any advice on summer camps for a boy that loves math, legos, video games and such? He is upset about missing the Little League season here, but I'm hoping we can find fun stuff for him once we arrive.

Also, my youngest will be needing special needs services. I have already made appts with Duke for his needs and have set up an assessment for Mariposa as well. Any help on ways to find other parents in our situation?

Really nervous about the school situation, but we are going to take it all a step at a time and get it all together once we move.

We love the Umstead area and hope someone wants to put their house on the market once we start looking... hint hint....

I know Town of Cary has camps that would interest your 12 year old....you can still take part even if you don't live in Cary. If he likes baseball Cardinal Gibbons has a great camp over the summer on their Raleigh campus; my boys went last year and loved it (even though it was over 100* every day - no complaints from them!).

Good luck with your move!
