What's the approximate cost of the procedure? My wife is planning on having it done this summer.

Her prices start at $999/per eye and she has done over 25,000 procedures. I would highly recommend her.

If you can plan ahead I would highly recommend using a Flexible Spending Account through your employer to pay the cost. You'd have to wait until next year, but you'd save the taxes you would otherwise pay on that money, which could save you a few hundred bucks.

It greatly depends on who does it, the type of technology used, and your particular situation since some methods aren't good options for some patients. Many offer a free consultation, so I would start with some of the recommendations already given. My optometrist actually recommended my surgeon.
