Im new to NC and start a new job on Monday. I have no idea what to expect for morning traffic from Clayton (Im about 15 min from Garner and the access point to 40) to Wade Ave in Raleigh. I will start work at 8:30, how much time should I allow for the commute? Also, there appears to be three different routes I could take to arrive at the 1000 block on Wade Ave. None of them seem ideal, but I was thinking of taking the Saunders exit off 40, which is less total travel miles, versus taking 40 to 440, which seems like it goes all the way around the beltline and sneaks in the other side of Wade Ave. If you have traveled this route, what is your opinion for travel time and ideal route?

When I used to work at Cameron Village (off of Wade), I took 40 to the Hammond Rd exit, Hammond Rd turns into person St, take a left at the Krispy Kreme (Peace St). Person St had less traffic than South Saunders. You could go that way and exit onto Capital and take the next exit, which is Wade Ave.
