Hello!!! I am from Delaware and am trying to move to the triangle area, but cannot find a job. I have been diligently searching for a job in the clinical research or science field for almost a year. I have a degree in psychology and minor in biology. I have graduate coursework in biomedical sciences. I have been working for a pharmacy for three years. I do not have experience in the clinical research field and am an out of state applicant, so I am not sure if this is discouraging employers from hiring me. I have had a couple of interviews, but have not had luck on finding a job. If anyone has any advice on how to get a job in this field, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

I have worked in clinical research in data management for 4 years. It is somewhat difficult to get your foot in the door without any experience. I did contract work for almost 2 years before finding a permanent position, starting with low level clerical work but moving quickly to more professional work. Many of my coworkers, including some with Masters and PhDs, started their careers in the same manner. Would it be possible to for you to move here first and then look for contract work? Please send me a direct message if you would like more info on employment agencies or the industry in general.

I might be able to help.

My mother in law is VP at a firm that does Clinical Research/Trials - I could pass your name and resume, whatever you'd like on to her.

PM if you'd like some help.

Julie

Ducter, do you know what the nature of that Novartis site is? Will it be primarily manufacturing or research?
