Hi
I'm thinking of relocating to Raleigh. I'm married with 3 small children- 9,6,3.
Just wondering what the job market is like in home care. I love home care and cannot see myself going back into the hospital setting. Anyone know if there are any hospital based home care job (CHHA). What are the salaries? What is the housing market like? Would greatly appreciate any info.

Default Need relocation advise- and maybe some encouragement

I'm considering moving to Raleigh.

I'm jazzed about the schools, real estate taxes, price of homes and slower life-style (as opposed to NY).

I fear-
stepford wife living/mentality
hurricanes

Am I crazy?

I'm married with three kids 9,6 and 3. We are an interracial couple. I'm a nurse and my husband is in sales. We are looking to find a home under 300,000 with excellent schools. Is this a pipe dream?

The whole idea seems daunting. Finding a job- selling my home- settling into a new school system. I know people do it all the time but how? In this market do you sell the house first or get the job first?

Help!!

Have no fear, and no, you are not crazy. It can be overwhelming to take this kind of stuff on. But really, hurricanes? Not a big deal often enough to really let it be a concern. And you can't become a Stepford wife unless you volunteer, and nobody is going to make you do that!

Start with the job situation. After all, everything else you could do will be for nothing if you can't conquer the job market.

Once your husband lands a job, put your house on the market.

Be working now to declutter it and get it ready for sale. Be speaking to a local realtor that sells your neighborhood frequently - this is very important for getting the home priced properly and sold quickly.

Once you know where your jobs will be, THEN you concentrate on a city/town/area to move to.

Get recommendations here for great local realtors that can cut out so much of the leg work for you before you try to move.

You may have to do a short term rental depending on how all the factors come together, but your realtor can help you with that too

I don't think you can ever go wrong in Home Health Care.

And yes, there are stepford neighborhoods, but you don't have to live in one.

And no, hurricanes are not a detriment to happy living.
