Yes, get a lawyer. This is not something you want on your record. You should be able to find a lawyer that will charge you between $250 and $500 to take care of it. You want the charges dismissed, so you're looking for some sort of pre-trial intervention program.

They won't lump tickets together just because they're in the same household. I suggest hiring a lawyer to minimize the hit you'll take on your insurance.
