In the strip of land running parallel to old wake forest road and Walmart at Triangle Towe Center and across from Target. Looks like they have the forms for 3 elevator shafts and the building looks like it's going to be relatively large. Any word on this? I'm thinking either a hotel, or maybe an office building, they left a lot of trees so maybe it's an office building?

I think there was a previous thread on this. IIRC it is going to be a Babies R Us.

Babies R Us is being built near the pond by Cold Stone and Shanes. It will face World Market and share that section of the parking lot.

Near Walmart, with the elevator shafts, apartments are being built. It was in the planning to having living opportunities so close to the shopping since the mall was started. It still won't be walkable and will only increase the traffic, but i'll take it over Crossroads any day!

^^^Lawd yes! crossroads is a mess and all over the place. But given that whole northwest maynard, southeast maynard debacle we are not surprised. Cary is the most confusing town ever!
