Being a New Englander the Patriots and Red Sox are an extension of my family (j/k). I'm wondering where I might find a nice pub or bar that has good wings, good people and hopefully ????? the Red Sox...wishful thinking.

As a Yankees fan I probably should not help you out (Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are) but I know of a handful of bars that are great for games.

What location are you looking for? Cary, Raleigh, Durham, etc?

There are 2 meetups you may be interested in.

Red Sox

Triangle Red Sox Nation (Raleigh, NC) - Meetup.com

Pats

The RDU-Triangle New England Patriots Meetup Group (Raleigh, NC) - Meetup.com (http://patriots.meetup.com/25/ - broken link)

Pats and Red Sox are both meeting this Sunday to watch the games. Two separate places though. Last week they met at the same place and it was a blast! 4 TVs - 2 showing the Pats game and 2 showing the Sox game. Nice to watch games with brethren.

The manager of the Carolina Brewery on Franklin St. in Chapel Hill is a Red Sox fan. That's where we used to watch the games before we got Extra Innings. (Getting Extra Innings is saving us hundreds of dollars!)

Did they EVER turn down that pa at the one in Wake Forest? We went in there once and couldn't stand it...that and the server was cluless and rude.

I hope they get their act together in time.

McKinleys in Clayton always has the Patriots on a screen. They have great wings, 35cent wing special on Sundays (orange chipotle bbq ROCKS) (wings to go are 45cent - 35cent is dine in only)

There are a few of us Pats fans there, also a good amount of Steelers fans, a few Eagles, Buffalo, Green Bay and ofcourse the Panthers round out the bar. Ooh.. even a Browns fan (yes, just 1).

We have a good time, just good local football-ribbing on a SUnday afternoon amongst all the bar regulars. Its a small irish pub, very much like a Cheers. Everyone knows everyone, and we love to meet new people!!
