Thanks for the input. I am trying to help her out as much as possible and I rec'd from the DOT a map on project R-2635. From the e-mail (please tell me how I can post since I am too damn old and just learned how to get on this crud machine, so others can see it) and Ashley Downs will have a sound barrier wall in place. Now at it's closest point Pearson will be .25 miles east of the project as they call it so my estimate would be the first row of houses in Person will be about 1,300 feet from 540. I agree that where the house is will be very important

Charleston Village has smaller houses, ranch houses, etc. Most of them are in 300k - 400k, I believe. I looked into that area before. They don't have future 540 worries.

Since 01/01/2006 there have been 51 Listings closed.
Prices vary from $162,500 to $355,000.
$250,000 to $260,000 is a good median.

Nothing currently "Active," but two "Pending."

Don't forget the other side of Apex as well. To the south and east of downtown is a growing area and well worth considering when relocating, particularly between Apex and Fuquay Varina. I've lived here for 21 years and moved 3 times, all within 2 miles of where I first lived.
