Where is a good place to buy lump/natural charcoal in the Raleigh area? There are a few threads on C-D, but they are a couple years old. I saw the site below, but there are a bunch listed, so I was not sure what may be available locally.

Trader Joe's always has some in the summer. It's a little bit expensive, but you can find it marketed as "cowboy coal" or such.

I get Lump Charcoal at the Fresh Market or sometimes Whole Foods has it. Personally I like the Kingsford Competition Briquets mostly because I don't have much experience with the lump charcoal.

I've been getting Royal Oak at Walmart. It's Highly reccomended at Naked Whiz. http://www.nakedwhiz.com/lumpdatabase/lumpbag11.htm It seems to give more flavor than the big green egg or cowboy charcoal that I've tried.

Hudson Hardware has very large bags at a more competitive price than Loews smaller bags.
