If it's in Orange County that's probably better for resale as the schools are generally regarded as pretty good. Not as good as Chapel Hill/Carrboro, but better than Alamance or Caldwell or Durham or Person counties. Even if you don't have kids in school the next buyer may.

But yes, I agree with the PPs, no negative vibes for Rougemont. Just rural.

I agree. I know every house I have ever bought, until now, was driven by my kids school.

I love the land in that area. We are a little closer to the speedway than I would have liked, at the front of the property I can hear the cars a little when they are racing but it is what it is.

Thanks again for all the info.

This is actually an Orange County address which I was surprised by.

After my first trip to this land I was sure the address on the ad was a mistake, it seems like it should be Hurdle Mills or Hillsborough. Its about 10 miles from the center of Hillsborough to this land.

Thanks again for your reply.
Addresses can be very misleading around here. My church has a Durham address & phone # but is in Orange Co., on edge of Hillsborough. A number of Hillsborough addresses are within 2-3 miles of my house. They are in Durham Co., much closer to a Durham post office than the Hillsborough one.
