Are you in the house while its set at 80? I cant imagine that. Ours hovers around 75 a little cooler if my husband is at work. but I'm also quite pregnant. I would love to set the thermostats to 68 but I may freeze out my family.

Yes. Shorts, T-shirt, no shoes or socks, ceiling fans on.

Wife pulls the down comforter on at night when the thermostat is set at 76

Was just out of town for a few days. I had the hotel thermostat set at 68!!! It wouldn't go any lower! Hubby was the one freezing! I love sleeping under the covers but have to have it COLD enough to do that! At home...74 is as high as I can stand it!

Before the heat hits, I'm going to close all the shutters, turn the air down low and get the house all cold in preparation!!!

Vicki

I'd keep my thermostat set on 72* or lower if I could afford it! Ours lingers in the 75-76* range. It's a programmable thermostat though. I do keep a ceiling fan on in any room I'm in though!

I truly feel bad for people who have to work outdoors in this weather. I've worked outdoors, and always hated summer.

When there's snow in the forecast, everyone buys white stuff: eggs, milk, bread, toilet paper .....

So what color stuff do you buy as you're prepping for 100°+ temperatures?
