Oh my...105 - and it's only June...!

I think dear Ms. Sweet Brown said it best..."Ain't nobody got time for dat!!!"

Stay cool, y'all...please check on the elderly and your pets! And please, please - double, triple check the back seat before getting out of your cars!

Me...I'm gonna "grab me a cold pop" and try to hang tough!

I am still laughing over the post a week or two ago from somebody worried that it was never going to get warm this summer. I can't find the post now, but I knew they jinxed us the moment it was posted.

Four straight days of 100+ is going to be brutal. Not that 97* is that much better. I'll be indoors if anyone needs me.

Like Beans&Cornbread said (love the name, btw - woot, Dinner & a Movie), PLEASE make sure the elderly and pets are adequately taken care of in this heat. Metal doghouses are like little furnaces. Animals need cool shelter and lots of water. My thoughts are with the horses off Ten-Ten, where it doesn't look like they have adequate shelter near any water.

Please don't leave your kids, animals, or elderly in the car while you just run in the store "for a minute."
