hi there!

We're looking in the wake forest area and wonder if purnell rd is one of those dangerous country road where people tend to drive far too fast. One of the houses we are looking at if directly off of it.

Thanks for any input you might have!

I used Purnell to get to our home and find it no more dangerous than any other back road. You have to watch for the occasional deer and bicyclist on the weekends. That's about it. I find Capital Blvd far more dangerous due to speeds and stop/go driving. I'd take Purnell over that any day.

It's a curvy backroute road...it's no more, or less, dangerous then any other.

Default we live in wake forest

we have been renting here for 3 months and started looking in clayton because all of the homes in our price range 200k to 225k where small , old , not well taken care of , small yard or a hill for a yard. And the 9 th grade school are all trailors. ( we already pulled our son out to home school for a year) clayton has Much better homes for the money, the commute time is half because of route 1 traffic which is never ending form wake forest. The schools are much better, so i can not find one reason to buy in wake forest than in clayton. The house we bought on 1 acre for 205k would be 250 with no yard and 45 min to down town , form clayton in traffic i drove straight up 40 ( we are in the clevland school area) and was in raleigh in 15 min. so check it out.

You didn't look much. There are of homes in that price range that are not old....they just sell fast.

Funny, our neighbors have a child in the 9th grade center and they think it's great so far.

The only thing I agree with is that the commute down Capital can be killer.

Glad you found what you want....leave WF to those that like love it here.
