Are you a new customer?? How did you get the $30 ? Is it "standard speed"
For sure, I need to get a digital antenna as well for the Olympics. I got it as a new customer last summer. It is standard high speed cable, not sure what mbps but enough for me to DL, stream, and play call of duty online with no problems. As I recall I looked on their website and it said $29.99 so I called them to set it up. There are options for "higher speed optimization" or some b.s. for more money, but dont pay attention to that because the regular works just fine. I just looked at the TWC website and now it shows $34/mo I guess like everything it went up.

my wife and i currently live in brier creek and twc is the only service provider that offers cable internet there, or at least the only one i've found. they give the best rates to new customers, which makes no sense to me due to the fact that i have been a twc customer for over 7 years and they will not give me the $30 rate, so for now i have to bite the bullet and pay the extra $10, i will be changing service providers in jan. when my wife and i move to wake forest

I have the 10MB service and we pay $45 after tax (we're going to clear because of our intermittent service for the past four months).

My zip code is 27606.

Sadly, the only company in our zip code (so I've been told) is Time Warner Cable or AT&T.

Rory - When did you get that price from TWC?

I went TWC roadrunner only when I switched to DirecTV a year ago. When I called to cancel my cable service they very quickly offered me roadrunner turbo for $39.99 for 12 months. I was happy with that.

They recently sent a mailer explaining that they would be so nice as to continue my turbo service for a discounted rate of $59/month for 12 months when the $39 rate expired.

So I called and used the voice prompts to get to retentions (confirmed with the person who answered). A nice woman assisted me and was looking up "offers". The best she could do was an additional $5 for turbo for 6 months. I very clearly explained that Earthlink was offereing the same service for $39/month for 6 months then $52 after. She said she was offering the best available rate TWC would offer. I told her I wanted to cancel and we started that process before I asked her if this was easier to just coordinate via Earthlink. She said it was as they were affliated. But still no better discount before she was willing to go through the disconnect process.

So now to contact Earthlink and transfer to them.....Silly really....

Two months ago my rate went up to $60. I called and scheduled cancelation after they refused to discount it. A few days later I got a call from Time Warner and they said they will bring it to $30 if I stay with them. I said I will. You have to do this once a year or every other year.

I'm having a hard time finding high speed internet other than Time Warner.

I have Direct TV, now. I live over @ Inside Wade in Raleigh. I got a good deal on my direct TV and don't want to pay $40 bucks a month just for internet.
