Instead he'll be in the pocket of a developer who has "big plans" for the land. Shameful. Our state politicians are bought.

Phil Berger was spouting on the radio that the land should be developed commercially for mixed-use to put it on the tax rolls.
Does Rockingham collect property tax from Wake County? I think not.

Hell, why doesn't the state just sell off all its surface lots downtown for mixed-use development? That would generate tons of sale revenue and tax revenue for the state. But then Berger would have to park further away from his office
