Church Shopping for a while now and all I can find are churches that are family focused or full of young couples.

I am looking for a church with an active SINGLES group for late 30s and up. A place where it is okay to be divorced, not have kids at home, etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Check out Hope Community Church in Cary off Buck Jones Rd. They have a good mix of married and active singles. They have groups that cater to both as well.

Several local churches sponsor divorce recovery and divorce care
groups. As a result, many singles find a comfortable place.

I know of adult single groups at White Memorial Presbyterian,
Providence Baptist and Hayes Barton Baptist.
There are many others. I hope you find a community
which is a good fit for you.

Since you're asking about church, it would probably also help if you could give an indication of theology--i.e. fundamentalist, conservative, moderate, or progressive. It won't matter whether they are singles-friendly if you disagree with the basic doctrine.

Check out Lifepointe. We meet in 2 locations...Durant Road and Dillard Drive. It's a great church for everyone. My husband and I are in our thirties. It's definitely family and child friendly, but not focused. I never thought I'd find a church where I fit it, but we've got good coffee, awesome music, and great messages. Lifepointe Church
